Jimmy Chávez is an Oklahoma City native.  He received his undergraduate degree in Business Administration and a minor degree in Spanish from the University of Central Oklahoma and then later graduated with a Master’s of Business Administration (MBA) from Oklahoma City University.  Jimmy lives in NW Oklahoma City and has worked for the federal government for over nine years on Tinker AFB as a systems analyst.  He serves as the Volunteer Coordinator at Cimarron Alliance and also serves in other minor capacities at the center as needed.  Jimmy has a passion for the LGBT equality movement on the national level as well as in Oklahoma City.  His inspirations are Michelangelo Signorile and other various LGBT prominent activists and authors.   Jimmy enjoys traveling and learning new languages.
